WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

I've had some good interviews. Vincent Pugliese has a great book called The Wealth of Connection. I got the audio version, and I'm loving it lots of great stories that have lessons built in. The thing I wish I had done is read his book before I interviewed him. He was on to share a "Because of My Podcast Story" which he did, but it could've been so much more. You live and you learn.

I've been investing in my education and spent $90ish on an Amy Porterfield class on growing your email list (so expect this to be much more regular) and made a "Podcast Launch Checklist" lead magnet using Convertkit.

I also bought this popcorn maker for $12 and it works quite well.

My Friend Daniel J Lewis was voted on to be a Governor for the Podcast Academy. See their DEI at https://www.thepodcastacademy.com/dei

Daniel is a devout Christian and left some comments about Abortion that he could've worded better (murder and barbaric are triggering), and was asked to resign. He declined, so he was voted off. For now, I'm sticking to the facts, and for now, those are the facts.

One more fact. Daniel isn't a racist. He's a great Dad, and a good friend. I hate to see this.

WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE

Not much. I had my oldest friend in town this week (we've known each other 45 years) who lives in Oklahoma. It was great to hang out. We pick up right where we left off when we connect.

I did start to read. "The Proverb Effect: Secrets to Creating Tiny Phrases that Change the World" which the first three chapters were again stories with lessons. I love that format. If you have kindle Unlimited you can read it for free.

COMING IN THE FUTURE

Well export more email list talk. I have a class next week with Tamsen Webster author of "Find Your Red Thread: Make Your Big Ideas Irresistible" and in the past I hired a business coach, and I'm "this close" to hire someone I met on Volley who really seems to know his stuff, and we gel very nice together.

As a teacher I love learning, and while I've learned new stuff at Libsyn (my job), I know what my weaknesses are, and I'm looking to make them less weak.

I'm going to be in Allentown PA on the 20th (coming back on the 21st) attending the play Spamalot at the Civic Theater to support my friend George Hrab. Why? Cause if I'm every going to add to the "Stories in my head" I have to leave the house. One other thing, I'm a big fan of Jesus, and George is a devout atheist. You no what we don't talk about when we get together? Yep, and yet we still have THOUSANDS of others things we agree on. Funny how that can work if you're open to the idea that other opinions are allowed besides yours... If you're in Allentown let me know, maybe we can connect on Saturday?
