WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

I hope you had a good holiday. Some of you know I live in Akron, Ohio so its been a stressful week, but I am safe and the curfew was lifted today (we had some demonstrations after a black man was shot 60 times after a high speed chase - that is not a typo).

I got to play with the new Vocaster 2 from Focusrite. It's a pretty slick device if you're looking for a very short learning curve. Here is my video overview.

I also have a video of my pros and cons of the new Rodecaster Pro II (it's not all puppy dogs and rainbows).

I wrote a post on Medium, I poster "Is “Your Story” Really The Best First Impression?" and you can listen to a robot read it to you.

WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE

​The F*ck it Diet by Caroline Dooner. The idea being that we are so stressed about being overweight, that the stress causes us to then gain wait.

The DJI Mic wireless lav mics. Yes, $100 more than the Rode Wireless Mic II, but it has a cool charging case, easy to read display, some cool clips to hide it in your shirt. If only I did interviews.... Sadly not available at Sweetwater or I might do their payment plan.

COMING IN THE FUTURE

I'm looking at Podcast Studio Pro which is software that has been tweaked from software that was used by television writers to be used by podcasters.​

I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I realize the year is half over and there are projects I started last year. I'm proud of myself for doing new things.
