WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

I was "this close" to moving my training videos from Thinkific to Teachable (as in I had my hand on the switch) and then I decided to move to Podia instead. Why? I got blinded by features that I realized I wasn't going to use, and I liked working in Podia better. But here is the thing, now that I have what I need knowedgewise and there is nothing distracting me (the decision has been made) I'm making mad progress on getting where I want to be. It should make for a fun video about membership sites as right now I'm paying for all three.

Since we last talked the Rodecaster II has put out a firmware update which seems to address some of my concerns, but I still have to randomly set my audio source during the day.

Killing Your Darlings

I've just have not had any passion to do or continue my Logical Weight Loss Podcast. It's been hard as I have thousands of downloads per episode. I've been saying I was going to stop doing it for years, but it makes me feel guilty as I ignore it. So I'm letting the show know I'm going on a "I'll release something when I have something to say" schedule. I've turned off the Patreon (so $40 is evaporating).

I just wasn't delivering any value to the group, and my schedule is beyond spotty. So I need to reset expectations. Not that I was spending any time on it, but the time I did can now be used on the School of Podcasting

WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE

I bought the PromptSmart lifetime deal (teleprompter that starts and stops when you talk). See Demo Video​

I also bought Brandy - This is great for being interviewed. You send them you link and they can get our images, logos, bio. I'm also going to use it for images for my affiliate program for the School of Podcasting. This was another lifetime deal. Demo Video​

The DJI Mic wireless lav mics. Yes, $100 more than the Rode Wireless Mic II, but it has a cool charging case, easy to read display, some cool clips to hide it in your shirt. If only I did interviews.... Sadly not available at Sweetwater or I might do their payment plan (but I now see Amazon has one)

I made a video for my Youtube on Podcast Studio Pro which I really love for my Akron Podcast.

COMING IN THE FUTURE

School of Podcasting 4.0 is on the way. I'm hoping to knock it out this weekend. My creative juices are off the charts.
